Doubles Delight

 John Peers (Class of 2006) has done it again, clinching the Australian Open 2025 mixed doubles title alongside fellow Aussie Olivia Gadecki!

In a thrilling final held on Rod Laver Arena on Friday 24 January, the wildcard duo staged a gritty comeback to secure a 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 victory in a match tiebreaker. This marks them as just the fourth all-Australian pairing to win the Australian Open mixed doubles title in the Open era.

John’s impressive resumé continues to grow, now boasting two grand slam titles and an Olympic bronze medal in mixed doubles, in addition to an Australian Open title and an Olympic gold medal in men’s doubles.
