VALE Judy Beazley

Judy joined Mentone Grammar in 1995 as the last person to bear the traditional title of Headmaster’s Secretary. Highly respected across the School community, she provided invaluable support to successive School Heads, offering both wise counsel and an important connection between school leadership and the broader community.

One of Judy’s most enduring contributions was her involvement in the School’s dramatic and musical productions, alongside Careers Adviser and good friend, Jane Gribble. Together, they became the driving force behind countless performances, coordinating the many details that ensured their success.

Judy moved into the role of Community Relations Manager, working with The Mentonians Association, past staff groups, current families and alumni to nurture connections and build a strong sense of belonging. This commitment endured well beyond her retirement, as she remained an enthusiastic supporter of the School, attending reunions and special events, and maintaining her close involvement with the alumni community until her passing.

Judy’s friendship, kindness, and dedication will be remembered with deep gratitude by generations of Mentonians and staff. We extend our deepest sympathies to her partner Robert, daughter Katie and son Philip.
